Adding on a Preschooler to My Father’s World A to Z for Kindergarten
Anyone else "in the thick of it" and trying to not only keep all the children alive...but also chosen to homeschool?! This is where I'm at right now. I'm preparing to start Kindergarten in the fall with my 5 year old daughter, while also planning ways to keep my rising 3 year old son entertained andaliveout of trouble. We used My Father's World (MFW) A to Z curriculum with my 7 year old son for his Kindergarten year and it was a HIT! The unit studies were perfect for him and the fact that I advance the books based upon the subject each week made it a gentle introduction for him (and me) into home education. Here we are 2 years later, getting ready to do it again. Mr. 7 will be attending school in person, which leaves me with 3 kids ages 5, 3 and 9 months. Since we aren't sending Mr. 3 year old to a brick and mortar preschool this year---he's coming along for the ride. Yes, MFW does have a preschool curriculum but I can'thandlemanage doing more than one 'plan' right now. So I'm making simple worksheets to go along with the Kindergarten curriculum at his level to join us. She's we're going to focus on letter and sound introductions, basic counting and colors for him, I'mhopingpraying he'll enjoy being alongside his big sister and keep him from tormenting the baby. Wish us luck! Xoxo Katie
