Sloppy Joe? Maid Rite? Loose meat? No matter what you call them—they are delicious!
We typically double or triple our sauce, then use quart size bags to freeze flat to have ready to go for the next time the kids beg for these!
This recipe mixes best with 1.5 pounds of cooked ground beef.
- 1/8 cup brown sugar
- 1 8oz can tomato sauce
- 1/4 cup BBQ sauce (we like Sweet baby Rays)
- 1/2 cup + 2 Tblsp ketchup
- 2 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tsp yellow mustard
- 1/2 tsp lemon juice
- 1-2 drops of hot sauce (Tabasco)
Mix completely and either freeze for later or warm in a skilled with the cooked meat.
